Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Synergeia upholds and values the intellectual property rights of authors and contributors. It acknowledges the efforts and creative process involved in producing scholarly work. Adhering to the ethical standards of research and publication, the journal commits to the following:

  1. All works intended for publication shall be subject to double-blind reviews by a field of experts with utmost confidentiality and promptness. The reviews and corresponding information will not be discussed without the Editor’s approval.
  2. All works submitted for publication should be original works of the author/s that have not been published before, and do not infringe upon any copyright, or other right(s); neither should the said work/s contain infringing, libelous, obscene or other unlawful content.
  3. Works submitted by the author/s for publication in the journal cannot be submitted to and published in another journal unless the republication mentions Synergeia as a source and the authorship properly attributed.
  4. Authors reserve the right to post or deposit the works published in Synergeia in a subject or institutional repository or in a volume of their own work provided that their authorship is acknowledged and Synergeia is cited as the source publication.
  5. For educational purposes, the use and reproduction of the articles by individuals and/or institutions are allowed. In keeping with the author/s’ rights as provided by law, users may not sell or derive financial gain from the copies or reproductions of the work/s in whatever form or storage.
  6. All authors shall disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project shall be disclosed.
  7. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, the author must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and shall oblige the editor in retracting or correcting the paper. Should an error be reported by a third party, it falls upon the author to promptly retract or correct the paper, or provide evidence to the editor to verify the correctness of the original paper.
  8. With the submission of their work to the journal for publication, the author/s agree with the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), which the journal offers with open access to the contents included therein. Author/s of accepted articles are thereby asked to accomplish and enter into a Publication Agreement.
